My summertime makeup routine is very simple: BB or CC cream, a quick coat of mascara (Pacifica Stellar Gaze in Brown, currently) and I’m out the door. When I’m going to dinner or want to feel a little more pulled together, I add one more item: lip color. Here are my current green beauty faves:

1. Josie Maran Argan Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick in Happy Honey
This lipstick/lip balm hybrid is gorgeous in the tube and on lips. I’m currently liking this Happy Honey nude color because it’s easy to swipe on quickly and it gives the perfect amount of hydration and shine. It took me a few swipes to get the hang of where the color goes (since it’s only in the center) but now I’m a pro. Playful Pink is a nice summery color if you’re not looking for a neutral. I bought mine at Sephora.

2. Honeybee Gardens Truly Natural Lipstick in Romance
I love the texture of this lipstick. It goes on smoothly and lasts a long time. I wear it alone or with a light gloss on top. I love the color “Romance” because it gives just enough color – not too much where you feel like your lipstick color is wearing you. I’ve worn this color everywhere from business meetings to special events/parties and felt comfortable. I bought mine on Vitacost.com.

3 . Ecco Bella Good for You Gloss in Peace

This isn’t technically a lipstick but the texture is ‘heavier’ (I feel like you can tell there are minerals in it, if that makes sense) than a gloss so I think of it more as a lipstick. I love the color ‘Peace’ on it’s own – it’s very 1990s business lady chic – but I mostly wear it on top of other colors. It has a subtle sheen (not glittery). I bought mine from the shopping app Orange Harp. Also, if you want to try out multiple colors for less $$, the tubes comes in a mini size (as well as full size.)
