About Meredith

Thank you for visiting MeredithTested.com!

I’m Meredith and am a total goofball just trying to mend my stressed out ways by taking a simpler path. I am working hard to achieve my dreams, and I am working hard to appreciate what I have. I am trying to live a healthy, mindful life with fewer things and less anxiety.

I am 30-something and live in Vermont. I’ve lived coast-to-coast and love exploring new places. I am married to an amazing guy (we’ve been together since college), have an adorable dog named after a Beatles song and we have two kids.

I’ve been embracing “life editing,” minimalism and the “buy me once” philosophy of careful consumption for a while. I started Project 333’s capsule wardrobe experiment in January 2016. We live in a small-ish 2 bedroom, 950 sqft. home.

In 2016 I committed to attempting a zero waste lifestyle with my family and am documenting our changes, challenges and advice here on MeredithTested.com.

I love food and cooking. I’ve been following a paleo-ish diet ever since completing my first Whole30 in 2012. I’ve since completed several more rounds. I try to focus on eating whole, unprocessed foods, lots of vegetables, local meat and poultry, some fruit, fats like olive oil and nuts, coconut oil and grassfed butter. I have been completely soy free since 2007 and gluten free since 2012.

I try to limit my dairy, sugar and alcohol consumption but I do like to indulge! I pretty much can’t turn down delicious cheddar cheese, sugary treats and I love trying new hard ciders and unique cocktails.

I am a guest writer for the Burlington VT Moms Blog.

  1. What zero waste book would be the best to get, in your opinion. I would like to give a book on this to my 16-year-old daughter for Christmas. Thanks!

  2. I found one of your images after a google search. I would like to use it for a presentation I am developing that teaches people about trash and recycling in Massachusetts. Can I get your permission to use 9 reasons to refuse single use plastic?
