If you live in a climate that gets cold, if you like outdoor sports, or if you like having warm feet, good socks are a must. So that basically covers everyone, right? I love wool and wool-blend socks because they keep my feet and my whole body at a nice temperature, are naturally anti-microbial and wick away moisture. Boom. Sold.
Instead of talking about different brands I like and don’t like, I’m just going to be honest here and tell you what brand my husband and I go back to over and over again. Two words: Darn Tough. (buy on eBay*!)
Why?
First, they come in tons of colors, patterns, and styles made for all different kinds of activities for men, women and kids.
Second, they are guaranteed. For life. Like, for your life. Your whole life. If my husband wears a hole in the heel or toes, we can bring that pair back to the store where we originally purchased them and grab a new pair. We’ve only had to do this once (with a pair he used for years on tough hikes) and it was an easy-breezy process.
Third, Darn Tough socks are super duper suprimo high quality and made in the USA (Vermont, to be exact).
There are a few other made in America, high quality brands I haven’t tried out but am planning to in the future (Farm to Feet, Fox River Mills and Wigwam to be specific.) I’ll keep this post updated if we like them!
xo, Meredith
Note: this is not a sponsored post. The (I assume) awesome people over at Darn Tough have no idea who I am and have not paid, cajoled or otherwise persuaded me to write this post. Every word comes from my heart. And my feet.
Love companies like DTV who stand by their product. Quality should always come first.
